What really helped me with music theory is Desi Serna. You can search him out on google and he has a free set of podcasts that you can search for in Itunes. They are great. I did buy his guitar theory package and with the lessons here it has really moved me along. I like the fact that he uses songs to show "examples" of theory. Very cool and very nice to help with the great lessons here. He does not teach guitar online, he only teaches music theory as it pertains to the guitar. At least check his website and podcasts out to hear the free stuff. Theory is good!
