The Sublime Santeria DVD opened a whole new part of guitar for me as I never thought I would like reggae, but since I've really become a huge fan and it seems to have come very naturally with playing the style. The chucking and all that kind of reggae stuiff.

I was wondering if you are going to do another DVD, or I would be very happy to see more reggae lessons on youtube or the website.

Also can any of you suggest any good reggae songs to learn?

Hi - We recently posted a reggae/ska lesson on youtube - plus we have an older one posted also - check them out - here is a link to all our free youtube vids: http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=rockongoodpeople

Lots of great reggae songs out there - try some Bob Marley ones like stir it up and no woman no cry, for ska/punk try some more sublime.
rock on!

Thanks for the advice.

I've been listening to Bob Marley a lot recently.

An interesting thing with him is how much he played his Les Paul. I have a Gibson studio Les Paul, and all though it is my favorite guitar I don't really ever play reggae or Red Hot Chili Peppers on it, I play my Mexico Fender Strat for that kind of music.

I just thought it was interesting how much Bob used a Les Paul, he was even buried with it, but if I had to choose I would always say a Les Paul is too powerful sounding for reggae, and a guitar with single coil pickups would be best.

Whatever, the Les Paul must have worked for Bob Marley.
