New Idea for Videos

Here's a request on behalf of the less experienced guitarists. While the video lessons show the student how to play the chords and licks in a song, it would be great to have a subsequent video where David plays the song in its entirety, with no commentary, for the student to play along with.

I think this would help the student develop his sense of timing and style as well as a sense of accomplishment when he can play it beginning to end. He would get into the feel of the song. The student can also see how the different parts of the song are strung together to form a continuity they couldn't otherwise appreciate.

I also had an idea about some jam tracks to play licks, phrases or a solo or whatever over. Even for beginners to play a scale over the jam tracks just to get used to playing with two guitars with different parts.

yea that whould be awesome
i'm already practising a lot on youtube with just playing along with my favorite songs (even though i already know some of the songs inside out)
cuz it's really great when you finally get to play the whole song after lots of practising

Great idea about the whole song thing, come on Tim get practicing with the singing fa la la ,
I've been away working all work so have missed the whole speedo thing, must go search for it now.

i'd have one for this one too! i certainly love the idea of having to see him play the entire song. i have been learning guitar through youtube, and guess what! only NLG's videos work for me! i love it definitely. anyway, yea man.

Great idea, the strum alongs are good and fun but play alongs would be the next step

I agree. Nice to see Dave play the whole thing so that I can play along. This would make the 2-hour instructional DVDs about 43.2% better.
