Hi folks!

Here's the deal: I'm building a nice setup for loud music but I'm getting
headaches since I'm adding more stuff to the more complex units chain.

So this is where you techheads could help me.

I'll try to be most exact as possible.
First, I'll run the whole setup in MONO mode

Here's the way it will be connected.
I got a NAD 1020a Pre-amp with RCA outputs.
This goes into a Crate LS3-231 EQ with 3 different in/output configurations
(RCA - 1/4 - XLR). So the pre-amp is IN RCA and OUT XLR that will
runs thru the active crossover (Phonic PCR 2213).
This is where I'm confused. Here's a picture of the back of the rack:

As you can see, there is a IN XLR (for mono) and this is clear for me.
What I' not sure about is the OUT MID and OUT HIGH that are separated.
How come I could get both frequencies and feed them to my first amp ?
Will I need a Y cord adapter to join them and feed to the mono input of the amp?

The OUT LOW part ain't a problem since it will be routed to a DBX compressor and then a second power amp.

I'm not sure if this will work if I join the HIGH and MID output of the xover to the power amp.

I read about tri-amp configuration and it seems very nice since there are 3 power amp to drive each frequencies. Maybe I'll switch to that later but for now, this is where I am.

ANY help will be pretty welcome :)

Ray.

RayMix, this is WAY beyond me, but I have a web site I refer to very often for mixing and studio recording help. I have found it very useful in the past. I hope it may have a little information for you, but because I am not an advanced technophile, I am not sure the info will help. You may be far more advanced then this site but it's worth a shot. Just a starting point for your answer maybe? Again, hope there is something useful there. Good luck!

Hey, thanks for the reply.

Seems that this site is biased on PC based home studio though.
After a bit of reading on basic crossover on various random websites, I think
I'll manage to get somewhere.

This is a new world for me !
