Just out of curiosity ... I noticed at least 3 people so far hailing from Ontario like me. Anyone else out there a fellow dweller of the Great White North?

Argg .. I can't remember. I just remember noticing the location but the name escapes me.

Sigh.

Now if you'll excuse me I need to throw some more beaver on the fire and the polar bear is whining to go out. Need more beer too...

Hey Blew - are you a Roy Orbison fan or a Linda Ronstadt fan?

Just wondering about the name. Blue Bayou?

I'm Canadian but Heck I'll drink pretty much anything:rolleyes: Whiskey to answer your question on the user name I have a bass boat (my other love is fishing) and it runs about 90mph so this is the name I use on the boating and fishing forums so instead of trying to remember a bunch of different user names and passwords I keep them all the same. And yes I am a Roy Orbison fan but not KD Lang.

Hey guys I finally got on here lol. Anyway I am from Canada too! I live in Oshawa Ontario just a mere 5 and a half hours away from you Whiskey! My name is Ian and I am 35 married with 3 kids and have been playing guitar for 29 years now! I play a BC Rich PLatinum Pro Assassin that I bought back in 1986 and was the only year BC Rich brought out the colour design I have on my guitar. It is red and black crackle fusion is what they call it. I play through a Crate CR-160 amp and at the moment I am running through an Ibanez DS-10 distortion and connected to that a BOSS OC-2 Octive and connected to that a DOD Tech 4XL pre-amp multi effect processor that is really cool and connected to that lol my new BOSS RC-2 Loop Station. If you haven't had a chance to check out the RC-2 Loop Station go to www.bossus.com and check it out in their interactive option. What it is , is a compact pedal that has 33 pre recorded drum patterns and it also records, over dubs, and lets you record songs right into the pedal. You can also slow the song down through the pedal. It has 11 different loop locations that you can store songs up to 16 minutes in length. Anyway that's who I am and what I have. I am going next week to pick up a BOSS MT-2 Metal Zone and retiring my Ibanez DS-10.

I am Canadian. I go to Cuba for vacation. I buy beer at the Beer Store, in a 2-4. I eat poutine. I have Canadian Tire money in my kitchen drawer. No he is not our king. I get winter whenever I want it... and then some. We have handicap parking in front of skating rinks. Our drive through ATM machines have braille buttons. I work outside when its -20 without a coat, hat or gloves, 11 stories up on a swingstage and I'm comfortable. We like Americans because they hate Quebec too. We've all tried putting beer in our cereal. I buy yummy beavertails from Hookers. Our speed limit signs say 100. I've made burritos out of moose meat. I've played road hockey in skates. I can reach into my pocket for change and pull out 30 bucks. I have gotten stuck in bead while wearing flannel pajamas in flannel sheets.

My name is Whiskey ... and I AM CANADIAN.

Merci.. thank you very much.

Whiskey that's pretty much word for word the little morning prayer I say every morning as I get a bottle of beer from the fridge and the box of cereal out of the cupboard;) . Although I must be getting old, in this weather I preffer my beer without frost on the bottle especially in the morning.

I'm live in Calgary now, but grew up in Prince Edward Island. I've owned a guitar since I was 10 (I'm 40 now) but just started taking it a bit more seriously a couple years ago when I started jamming about once a month with some buddies in a garage. I wish I had spent my youth playing the guitar more than I did...

For those of you that don't know, Canada doesn't have a Prime Minister. We have a King. He is a most beloved monarch. His Royal Highness Tim Horton. If you watch closely, you will see BCRich drinking from one of His Highness' royal gobletts in some of his videos. Most of them actually. Long live the king!
