Anyone have any suggestions on how to go about recording me playing my acoustic guitar to assist my practice?
Right now I have a decent computer and the guitar. No camera or any way of getting the audio in the computer. Can someone run me down what needs to be done?

All you really need is a good mic, some sort of mic stand, and some recording software. A sound card is good too, but not needed.

If you are just kicking around at your house, you can do some good recordings with a computer mic. I used to do record with an old Creative mic that came wiht my soundblaster AWE32 sound card like from 15 years ago and it did great. Just pick up a 10 to 15 dollar mic from your local department store. If it doesn't record well enough, you could probably take it back.
Also, Audacity is free recording software that works really well.

On that note, go for one of the desk mics, that way you can point it right at your guitar.
