I bought a used Ultra 3 from a local citizen recently. The guitar was completely screwed up setup wise so it sounded like crap
but I knew it could be adjusted and I had heard a couple very nice vids online and wanted one of these guitars. Since bringing it home I am not overly satisfied with the tones I am getting. So was hoping I might get some advice from folks who already own and hopefully love their ultra 3

The neck pickup has some flavor and seems to be the best of the lot, middle is semi-ok and the bridge is pathetic barely any color / flavor. I have considered installing actual Duncan mini-humbuckers but am wondering if that is wise as i have already spent several hundreds on it and not happy with the sound atm. So advice on amp settings? Pickup upgrades? Also the tech put 10s for strings on it to help keep the bigbsy in tune however I am used to custom lights and now the strings are harder to bend will custom lights make that much of a difference?

What I was wanting from this guitar is to play mainly classic rock from doobie brothers to zeppelin

I have these amp
Carvin MTS 3200 tube half stack
Fender Ultimate Chorus 2x12 (circa 90s)
Line 6 Spider Jam

Effects
Line 6 X3 LIve
various boss effects: chorus, compression/sustainer, delay etc
