I'm thinking about buying the great Premium member sale DVD offer with sets 1-12, the acoustic set, and the blues rock set. My question is about the 1-12 set. Is DVDs # 5-12 a bit more advanced for an intermedate guitar player? The acoustic DVD set and blues rock set sound great for the intermedate levels. It would be great to watch the lessons on a DVD player.

Hi - the 1-12 dvd set is more geared for beginners - it starts from the start of your guitar journey and teaches how to hold the guitar and pick and takes you through your first batch of chords and chord changing, strum patterns and rhythm, then moves on to learning all new types of chords including 7th and major 7th chords, suspended and add chords and how to use them as well as ear training songwriting and then on topower and bar chords. Plus lots and lots more - its a great set but again more beginner than intermediate. Check out the lesson menus as all the lessons are listed on each dvd on the home page of the website at nextlevelguitar.com - click on the dvd intructional sets and then click on the title of each for detailed descriptions of what is on each dvd.

Let us know if you have any other questions and rock on!

Hi David, The DVD sale is so good that I bought one two days ago. I started palying guitar about a year and a half ago after thirty years. I turned fifty this year and I'm about at the intermediate level. Thank you David and Tim both for the great lessons and insperation. I tried to post more a bit earlier and the site timed out on me so I had to re-type some of what I wrote. I plan to also buy the 5 song DVDs. When I get the time later I want to post my choices as I like to play both acoustic and electric. The rhythm stuff is a bit easier both open and bar chords but, I'm also learning the c-scale and reading music. The power chords are lots of fun too.
