Dean Exotica QSE- SP AM

I found this guitar online for about 300 bucks but as I'm brand new to guitar I thought I'd try to get some feedback on it before spending that much cash.

I can't find any real info online so I'm thinking it's out of production now but was made in late 05 or early 06. Every user review I've read gave the Deans high marks which might mean nothing as allot of review sites reviews are actually done by the site themselves pumping up their own stock.

Also, if someone can give me a rundown on which is the high, mid and low end guitars I'd appreciate it, i.e; is a Performer better than the Exotica?

Dean Guitars are nice and are well made! I would go for it for that price as I think the guitar you have a pic of is more expensive then 300 bucks. You want a quality guitar just starting out and this guitar is just that.

Dean builds really great guitars.
I bought my first Dean a year ago, and I doubt I'll buy a different brand again.
