Damn... I wish I could play and sing like that guy. The song itself looks easy but i think my head would explode trying to sing it at the same time.

Still, it would make a nice lesson.

Yea I learned most of it just watching and playing along with him, but some parts don't sound right when I play it so I must be missing something here and there

Then Dave should be able to help out there...no? =)

Btw, first time posting here, and kudos to Dave & Tim for their venture!

That is a sweet song! Great for acoustic lovers like myself. I would really like to see a lesson for this song. Come on Dave you know you want to!
The guy in the vid does this song better than The Fray, this dude can really sing.

Thats why I posted his instead of The Frays version http://smiliesftw.com/x/laugh.gif

If you look at his other vids he has a ton of good covers. I really like his Fire and Rain one too

Pharcyde could you give me some idea how you are strumming this. I have listened to it about 30 times now, can't get enough.

I'm making an effort with this song now, I'm making progress with the strumming part but can someone tell me what he's doing exactly in the picking part please.

i haven't had much time yet to look at this one, so correct me if i'm wrong:
capo @ 3rd fret
for all chords the picking is like this:
e b g b e b g b
and he also picks the E bass string at the same time he picks the first e
the chords for the verses are G, D add4, G 6th, D add4
(dunno of that damn guitar chord name finder site is right)
the chords for the chorus are C, D, Em, C, D

Thanks Argonin, should be able to play it all now with a bit of practice, then I'll start attempting to sing, as if that's gonna work!

Just watched the Fray's acoustic version on YouTube and it is really good, much better than their piano version.
