I just noticed now the "Sold My Soul" by Black Label Society sounds alot like "Sanitarium" by Metallica

...others include

"Sanitarium" by Metallica and "Harvester of Sorrow" by Metallica

and

"Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana and "Rape Me" by Nirvana

those to are really obvious but i just noticed the BLS/Metallica one

I know it's been pointed out a lot, but How You Remind Me and Someday, both by Nickelback, sound very similar.

boulevard of broken dreams by green day and mad world by gary jules use the same chords. also, i do know that mad world was written by tears for fears, but i just like jules' version better, imho.

I think it was Tribute by Tenacious D that had the same progressions as Stairway, but I don't have tribute to check it. Ohh this kind of falls under this topic, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdxkVQy7QLM , it's hilarious.. it shows just how much musical progression get copied lol

I don't think many people here are into Japanese Rock but if you do get a chance, play Asian Kungfu Generation's Rewrite along with L'arc ein Ciel's New World (I think that's the one) and the first 2 minutes are a laugh and a half.

Thats funny because rewrite and ready steady go by larc en ciel were both used in full metal alchemist series as intros
