Hey guys any thoughts on this pedal? I am thinking about buying it but want to know what you think about it first.
1) Is it worth the money
2) Does it give a good acoustic sound
3) What does the Piezo technology sound like

Here is two examples. One of these has the acoustic simulator, the other doesnt. Never mind the crap playing and the even worse levels. Its pretty rare I ever record anything like this, so deal with it ;)

LOL don't be toooo hard on yourself it sounded fine, HOWEVER lol with the acoustic simulator it sounded like my sound using me neck pickup on a clean channel without the pedal. What pickup were you using for that? I was told that to get the best acoustic sound out of this effect was to use the neck pickup. Was this through the GT3/6/8 or the actual pedal?

this was through the GT3, running into Sonar 5. There was still quite a bit more to go on the setting side of the simulator, but it gets a tad bassy, Although now after playing with it a bit more, its pretty close to sounding acoustic.
I used the bridge pickup, the SH-13.

Personaly, for me I dont care for it. I bought it 6 months ago and used it once. I am actually thinking of selling it. But, everyone is different, and people like different sounds, so I guess to each is his own.

Ya but what I really want to know is does the AC3 actually make your electric sound like an acoustic? This is one factor in me buying this pedal cause if not I will just spend an extra 2-300.oo and buy an actual acoustic with a built in pre-amp.

well, from the clip I cant really say that i would be willing to put up $100 for one. I hear a slight difference, mainly in the low E but I'm not sure I care for it, I only paid $149 for my RP-250 multifx and could probably tweak the settings to get the same effect plus 100 others....just my $0.02
if I wanted a real acoustic sound I would either just get an acoustic or one of these babys if i want acoustic/electric http://www.wildwestguitars.com/ibanez/rg/rg1820x_f0503380_th.jpg
Ibanez RG1620X or 1820 with built in piezo pickups.....or if you got $$ to spend
PRS makes a semi hollow one for about $5000
here is a demo of an ibanez rg2027x

and one of the 1820x ..sultans of swing...sounds really sweet

the taylor t5 series is supposed to do a good job of sounding acoustic,i head a guy gigging with one once, pretty nice.
but i don't think any pedal is going to make people beleive your solid body guitar is an acoustic

BC Rich makes the NJ Series archtop Eagle with 2 humbuckers and a piezo pickup setup. I was actually gonna look into ti and see how much they were. I like that idea of having more or less and acoustic built into an electric body.
Check it out on ebay I think I may order one of these.
