Hey everyone! I'm new at learning. Well kinda lol. I've had an acoustic electric (very very cheap) guitar for 2 years and only picked it up a view times because I kept getting frustrated with trying to teach myself cause well I just don't learn that way. Anyway to the point lol. I'm wanting to get an electric. I'm a beginner so I don't really know what's good. I have really small hands since I'm only 5ft so I'm wanting some recommendations on what you all think would be a good guitar for me. Oh umm I'm not trying to buy a really expensive electric so keep that in mind lol. Thanks!!

Hey Mikki...I'm a Dean fan myself.
They have some less expensive models and the quality is really good.

I would recommend poking around the forum if you want suggestions. There are about a dozen or so threads with this exact question. Most of them are filled with everyones personal preference, since its kind of like asking what your favorite color should be.
Simply put, play everything at the guitar store, get something that sounds good and is comfortable to play. And remember that you get what you pay for.

Rondo Music distributes a budget line of guitars that are pretty good quality. I ordered 4 of these with plans on screwing them onto the walls of my cabin. When they arrived they played so well I ended up giving them away as gifts but kept one for myself. They're about equal quality to an MIM(mexican) Fender. The neck pickup on the Tele I kept is about the best I've ever heard and I've spent thousands on pickups over the years.

All guitars arrived the same week I ordered them.

Here's the (link) to the site- (http://www.rondomusic.net/electricguitar.html)
There's 7 pages of guitars available.

$119 Teles

$99 Strats

Personally, I recommend and play Paul Reed Smith guitars.

100$ for a strat is gotta be real cheap lol . I have a washburn wr-150 that don't make it anymore it's kinda the cheapest model of a electric washburn . It plays very very well but the sounds suck. But as a begginer it's good!:)

I would eigther go with a MIM Strat or a G&L Tribute Series, I personally like the G&L Tributes better than the MIN Fenders, the G&L's are made overseas using CNC processing to cut cost, but they use Made in USA G&L pickups, I had a Tribute Invader in mahognay and its the one guitar I really wish I would not have sold. I have been keeping an eye out for one on ebay to replace it. G&L was Leo Fenders new company after he sold Fender. They have Strat and Tele like models and the Invader has humbuckers and a coil tap. really great guitars in the $350 to $400 price range

I've got really small hands. I got a Ibanez RG series. The necks are so thin and lovely to play! Ive heard jackson have nice necks too. You might want to avoid getting a floyd rose tremolo though. Maybe best sticking to a strat style guitar. Go to a shop and try a few out, see what feels best!

I know my friend got an ibanez starter pack it came with a lot of good stuff, not really overly expensive, and the guitar that came with it was amazing I love playing his guitar, it's a lot better then my 70s kawai mosrite is.

Wanna get rid of a guitar? My budget is up to $250 and would like a reasonably sounding guitar. I wouldnt mind a Les Paul or a very cheap Fender. I would appriciate either sending me the pics (bahamet7@hotmail.com) or just posting. Also please tell me if it sounds ok, has any dings, etc.

kramers are awsome guitars. The orignals from the 80's are the best but the ones they started to make again recently are good also. go here http://www.musicyo.com/brandland.asp?dept_id=1 . since you a beginner I wouldnt recommend the US collection but check out the others

I bought a strat pack for my first guitar.. it was great, and was about 400ish Canadian, it had an amp strap cables picks headphones tuner (guitar of course,) and a few more little things but I dont remember them all. The guitar sounded good but my new 60th totally blows it out of the water, even through the crappy amp. The amps a frontman 15g.. its 38 watts, sounds half decent too

I'm afraid I don't have any guitars for sale. I just wanted to tell you that you shouldn't post your email on a public forum, there could be spam bots lurking waiting to pick it up and send you all kinds of spam. A better way of doing this is if you getting anybody that needs to email you any information, then you can just send them a pm with your email in it
