Hello Good People
don't you love computers!
Here is an update we have just signed an agreement to host all of our membership videos on a high speed site which will allow streaming.
What that means is you will not see that occasionally annoying loading bar as the video is sent to your computer. IT WILL BE FAST
So please be patient with us over the next week. We have over 200 video lessons that need to be uploaded
This will be a great benefit to all of our members. We have seen some issues of some videos loaded to Google over the last few days not showing up
This will correct that issue
You can log in direct to the site at this address below if nextlevelguitar.com does not work
this is the direct ip address to the new server it is the full site
http://69.64.69.36/ (http://69.64.69.36/)
Keep practicing up. I know it is a learning Frenzy but we want to complete this upgrade quickly for you
To View any of the Free content video songs lessons go to YOUTUBE
In the search bar type in Guitar Lesson and the name of the song you wish to see
ROCK ON

thanks for the heads up Tim, I figured it wouldn't be long before your original server couldn't handle the bandwidth

Guys,
You were absolutely right to move to a faster server given the size and popularity of the site.
Unfortunately, I still have major logging in problems. It appears to be a DNS error that you cannot sort out - I will have to try with my ISP.
If I log in using the IP address 69.64.69.36 I can get to the site but no CMS. When I click on a link it forces the page to go to a WWW.nextlevelguitar.com/......... page. The result being a DNS error.
Is there anyway you can allow the server to parse to the ip address. I think this is a joomla site and there may be an option. (eg when i press a link it goes to 69.64.69.36/........
Thanks for your help.

I'm having the same problem as Andy. Can't pull the website by the domain name. I can go to the IP address but can't go beyond that because of the links.

Hey Guys... I'm having the same problem too for the past few days. Although it has come up now, which is how I can write this :) Yesterday when I couldn't get on I used the ip address and had those same problems mentioned, but today the ip address didn't work either way.
But I bet ya, come tomorrow I won't be able to get on the site again... ho hum... why is it intermittent?

They say that patience is a virtue - I'll remember that for next time.
I'm back up and running etc.
Hope everybody else has issues solved too.

Woo Hoo! I'm up and running now. Now I won't have to keep trying to smuggle my guitar into work.

I mentioned that patience was a virtue in my previous post - I'm not feeling very virtuous at the moment. I can't reach the site again.
I blame the French (or at least one of their routers - which appears to be not working as it should).
Therefore, I am abandoning ship and going to purchase the DVD's.
No doubt I'll be able to get through again tomorrow but I just can't rely on the internet.

:( Not working again. I'm an IT guy and I know how this stuff works, but it is still frustrating. Oh well, I'm sure it will be working at some point. For what it is worth, I really like the layout of the site.

I was able to cure my problem by going into and editing the "host" folder in my "C" drive. I typed in http://69.64.69.36/ then tabbed over and typed in www.nextlevelguitar.com. After that it worked just fine.

The way I sorted the problem was changing my dns server in my network connection to look up my works ISP dns servers.
Now I have access again!! And it works like a dream.....

Streetsweeper,
Excellent tip. I had to hit the net to find out where that file is on a Mac but it works the same way. Edited the file and all is great. I had done this before for a home network but that was ages ago. Thanks for the refresher.
And now begin the learning shall.
