i just put a new set of les paul signature gauge strings on my les paul the other day. first time i ever used these strings. i guess Les preffered a tad thinner strings for the first couple and a tad thicker for the last couple of strings - .009, .011, .016, .026, .036, and .046. gives a nice bendable first string (i need all the help i can get) and nice full sound for the top strings. anyhow i like the sound and feel, and yes, i agree, there is something about the nice clean ring of a new set of strings that sounds great.

Before I used to get D'Addari's .09's and they were great
but then when I tried Dean Markley's .10's and i love them
i love the feel tho at first i find them a bit hard to bend
when they are band new , that reminds me i ahve to
change them again soon.

I have very freaky strings on my electric. I haven't changed them in 12 years...
I don't remember what they are. I can bend them like crazy, and they keep tune. Possibly of alien origin?

I use Erinie Ball Hybrid Slinky for my Strat and GHS Boomers for my Ibanez, Changing strings on a Floyd Rose type bridge is boring..

dude! them strings must be made out of some that Roswell material. but if they bend easy and stay in tune i would leave them alone for a few more years. :D
