http://www.bowlandcentral.com/forum/icon/icon-241.gif I've noticed many guitar discussion forums have added the ability to watch Youtube content in threads. Seems like it'd be an excellent feature for a forum like this that relates so much to YouTube(Dave's videos). No new tabs need to be opened for links, etc, and one can continue reading the thread as the video is playing.

I grabbed this quick example. First thread I came across. All you do is click the play icon(>) in the center of the youtube screen. (http://www.tdpri.com/forum/bad-dog-cafe/63871-tone-hands-contd-%28youtube-content%29.html?highlight=youtube)

Here's the direct link to the BB Code info. (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=199304)
Anyone else notice that guy's post count? 32,400+ :eek:

How To Make a YouTube BB Code
You can use the embed code on YouTube's site to make a BB code so users can display YouTube movies inside of their posts:

Admin CP -> Custom BB Codes -> Add New BB Code

Title - YouTube
Tag - youtube
Replacement:

Code:
<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/{param}"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/{param}" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

Example - JFwCCL0Vh6U

There's also code for displaying guitar scales & chords. It mimics the fretboard of a guitar. Not like tab, which is also available, by the way. A guitar lessons site would use this one a lot, it'd seem. I know there's at least 42,000 chords 'cause there's one site that lists that many.

I'll do a Bm as an example-

||---|-1-|---|---|---|
||---|-1-|-2-|---|---|
||---|-1-|---|-4-|---|
||---|-1-|---|-3-|---|
||---|-1-|---|---|---|
||---|-1-|---|---|---|

I tried addressing that. I just don't know how to use commas correctly and communicate it. No lie. I've been taking on-line punctuation lessens for a few days now. Age 34, with a college degree. Still can't use commas correctly.

The tablature BB Code sets it up like this. Much different than the chord version above that shows the guitar's nut and frets-

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
