I'm looking into buying either a epiphone LP or a fender strat, not sure which.
Of course, by the name of this post, that's not my problem. My problem is I don't wanna spend as much on an amp as I did my guitar. Are there any amps in the $100-150 range?? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

This one looks to be a good deal.

Looks like it would let you try out different sounds without spending a lot of money.

I think the Vox Pathfinder 15w is an excellent beginner amp that is at the low end of your price range.

I don't know what they go for in your area but the 30 watt Kustom amps are only about 150.00 here. Plenty loud and great tone.

I have a Vox DA-5 as a practie amp, its only 5 watts but has prety good sound, can be plugged in or played off of batts. has several effects it was about 140. I think that it sounds alot better than the little Roland. Vox also has a Valvetronic 15 watt, which is tube/solidstate amp, with all sorts of features, they sound great, I had the 30 watt version (about 250) and sold it to a friend when I bought my Blues Deluxe

I have a Roland Cube 15 it was about 100 euros and it really is a great beginner and practice amp
it has a clean channel and a lead channel (for overdrive, distortion, metal and metal stack effects)
