Les Paul or Fender Strat?

Hey, I ruled out Xplorer guitars because of price ($7,999.99 is on sale!?!:eek: ) I like the feel, look, and the sound of the Fender Highway 1, but the LP sounds better, but I'm not used to the feel of the LP body or how the neck is slanted because of the arched top. I'm wondering what members of the forum think about these guitars and what I should get.

Well.. Gibson's, Les Pauls, are the more traditional rock 'n' roll guitar.. if your a blues player you'll probably like Strats over Gibson's. They're two completely different sounding instruments, depending on your choices of course, you should just try each out and see which one suits you the best.

I went with the MIM strat and got a nice amp (Fender supersonic).
