I was hoping I could find a nice electric guitar on the board but if anyone has one and is in canada selling one I would be happy to take it off your hands if the price is right

My budget is 300-500 hopefully that is good enough.

You can get a pretty decent Fender MIM strat for $450. Those guitars are decent enough for me and any beginner in my opinion.

Hey You Should Check Out Some Local Shops, I Havent Been To Canada But I Am Sure If Their Are Musicians Up There And There Are Pawn Shops I Am Sure They Have Guitars, That Guys Had To Sell To Pay The Electric Bills, You Should Go Up There, Otherwise Check Out Musicians Friend Or Like Guitar Center? Just Cant Play Them First Which Is A Religious Rule For Me Personally, But Would Probably Get A Good Price On The Objects

No doubt you can get a brand new MIM Strat for $400 to $450 depending on finish. Why buy used when you can get new for the same money.

I will mirror everyones oppinions here. Why buy a used guitar if you can buy a half decent to pretty good guitar for 3-500 dollars. Like other member have stated, you can buy not a low end Ibanez but one that is pretty good in the 450-500 dollar range. You never stated if you were a new guitar player or if you have been playing for a while. This has a lot to do with the type of guitar you are looking for. If you are a new guitar player I would recommend that you stick with a guitar that is best suited to your needs. Any guitar store will tell you the same thing and try and match a guitar to you and let you play them. If you are not a new guitar player then the skies the limit for a guitar for you. Any of the guitars mentioned by the others would be well suited for you. Fender (or Squire), Gibson (or Epiphone),Ibanez, Jackson, BC Rich, Dean, PRS, Gretsch, ESP (or LTD), Parker or any others I haven't mentioned are all worth taking the time to look at. One thing to not do is buy a guitar based on its shape or colour, find out first what it is made from (wood) and what kind of electronics it has installed on it I.E Pickups, selector switches, coil taps, pots etc. Go from there but make sure you play the guitar you want before you buy it.

I have a used Ibanez GSA60, I have a couple of videos with it at http://www.youtube.com/arwt241 I dont necessarily do it justice, but it is a nice guitar. I will put it on Ebay when you so chose and bid away!

I disagree with everyone else why buy a new guitar for $300- $500 that is worth $300-$500 or less down the road after depreciation when you can get a good used guitar that was worth much more when it was new and in most cases have had setups and tweaking done to enhance the playability of the guitar. The trick is to do your homework on them and know what you are buying. This goes for new or used. Check out Harmony Central or other sites for reviews. Check out Evil bay to see what they are selling for. Last but not least.... It doesn't matter what you pay for a guitar there will always be one out there cheaper so get the best deal you can and be happy with what you've bought.... no regrets.
