Hi I want to buy a single pedal or a multi-fx . I would use it for heavy distortion should i go for a single or multi-fx pedal? I would rather go for a multi-fx caus it's more versatile and it's not that more expensive than a good single pedal like the mt-2. I want your opinion thanks!

Personally I prefer single pedals...multi effects are great if you play around at home..but when you hit the stage...that's a whole new lesson in difficult.

I always found it annoying to play the tap dance on the Bank Up / Band Down pedal to get to the sound you wanted.

Course...I've eliminated pretty much all my pedals now. Wah and footswitch for the amp. Sooo much simpler.

That's a good point! But don't you think the singles are expensive if you compare to a multi-fx thats is 2 3 times the prices but that has alot more sounds ?

Agreed...multi effects are definitely cheaper and you do get alot more sounds.
I've owned my share of them over the years...they're really great for playin around and learning what different effects do.
I think it really depends on what you plan to do with them.

I'm in a band so i'll probably use it on stage. Is there any multi-fx that is not complicated to use on stage?

i used to have a digital amp, and the boss gt-8 really sounded great through it.

it's difficult to learn how to use at home, but once you do, using it onstage should be a snap as you could preprogram 36 different settings each with there own distortion, and effects. you can switch easily between settings, which should be plently for any song.

if your looking to create your own sound, or emulate others pretty closely, this is your best bet. endless options but getting used to how to program it is simply a bitch and i'm pretty electronicly savy.

that said, i bought it, returned it becuase it sucked tone from my marhsall tube stack, and not am going to rebuy it beucase it's so versitle, not becuase the tone is as good as having individual pedals.
