Hey everyone... just wanted to know if anyone owns this pedal and what they think of it, cuz i've heard some samples and it looks like it'll give me the sound(s) that i want (Avenged Sevenfold, Anberlin, Blink-182, along with some clean riffs). Thanks and please post.

for about 20 or 30 more you can get the ds-2, which has the same sound plus another effect mode.

i love it, it is john frusciante's main pedal and it sounds awesome in all of his stuff.

Oh, ok thanks bob. I'll check it out but i'm not sure if i want to spend that kind of money for my first distortion pedal.

The DS-1 was peddle Cobain used, I think. I had one for a while and liked it. I got a two channel amp and just found I didn't need it anymore so I sold it.

I've heard that the MT-2 can cover a huge range of distortions and overdrives but I guess it's technically more tailored towards heavy rock. The main site has a cool interactive thing where you can hear samples of the pedal at work

So DS-2 http://www.bossus.com/index.asp?pg=1&tmp=3
DS-1 http://www.bossus.com/index.asp?pg=1&tmp=2
MT-2 http://www.bossus.com/index.asp?pg=1&tmp=5

DS-1 =40
DS-2 =80
MT-2 =88
OS-2 =65

The os is a distortion and overdrive pedal. Which is pretty cool. A friend of mine has a marshall amp and uses the DS-2. I love that pedal, probably my favorite sounding.

Go to the nearest guitarcenter, if you fell strange playing the pedals, ask an employee to play them for you. Pick which one you think sounds the best.

I bought my son a DS-1 for CHristmas and he loves it. Though it isn't as heavy sounding as the Metal Zone it does have a good range of distortion. The MT-2 Metal Zone can handle any kind of overdrive - heavy metal distortion. This pedal offers a lot more in the way of dynamic sounds for the money. If it were me I would go with the MT 2 Metal ZOne I bought one a month ago and I wouldn't trade it for anything. The reason I say go with the Metal ZOne is later on you may want to start playing some heavier stuff thus leaving you with a pedal (DS-1) that you will likely have to replace. I have played with all the settings on the MT2 and you can get a nice overdriven sound wight to bone crushing metal.
