Heyho. So I'm planning to purchase a new guitar and came across this Fender DLX Powerhouse Strat. Has anyone ever played it? If yes, how did you like it?

Thanks in advanced,

Miles

Edit: I will probably test it for about 30 days, but I'd still like to hear your opinion.

If this is made in Mexico it is similar to the version we have in the US called the Standard Stratocaster. I have owned one and thought it was good quality, although I didn't wait long to upgrade the pickups.

I've had the deluxe power house for 6 years, it's a great guitar i play it every day. Just don't make the mistake I did and leave the action too low because the frets will be worn down. Great guitar really I get almost every tone I want out of it. I really Love that guitar.

Its all a case of personal taste. I had a couple of MIM mexican strats, and also tried out a cheap Squier. the Squier was more fun! Overall, I moved away from Fender, and have yet to find anything to match PRS Paul Reed Smith. They do an SE eg model which ahs single coils like a strat, but man its a way better guitar, although made in Far East.

I own a PRS SE Eg hardtail, as I dont like trem arms to detune my guitars, but there is a trem model.

I have not owned a USA made Fender, but frankly on my next usa trip I would rather aim my cash at another PRS USA model, or a G&L.

Better build quality I would say, and nicer guitars.

Just a view - heck the strat is still the number one seller aint it?

pics of somne of my guitars here, but Fenders on the second site: http://fredbanjo.mysite.orange.co.uk/
