Hendrix old bean,
I have Texas Specials fitted to my jap strat, and they are really very good if you are after the SRV/Eric Johnson tone, so I assume they are a fairly hot pick-up, not really what I was after as too hot to get early sixties tone, but were standard fitment. But if you want a hottish pick-up I can recommend them.
