Hey guys, just checking out if anyone here is from toronto, and is looking for someone to jam with a bit. I'm 22, i like alot of foo fighters, rHCP, and that style of rock, but do listen to lost of stuff. Im a very good beginner, or a poor intermediate, i think, but who knows, it's hard to rate yourself, never played with other people besides my teachers so give me a holler if your in the area.

Toronto here, too. A jam would be sweet. I haven't been playing too long but I guess I'm okay. Count me in if you end up doing something.

Does close to T.O count:D I only live about 400 miles(3hours)

I wouldn't mind driving back to my hometown where I was raised, it's just the gas prices that are going to kill me going back and forth, or if you ever come to the Belleville are look me up. It's hard to find musicians in my area, we have 3 huge music shops but no one who can or want's to be in a band.

I am in Oshawa but I don't qualify for what you are looking for in a guitar player lol. I have been playing for 29 years and I am 35.

Ya Mitch I know this feeling already I am currently teaching a 12 year old and my 16 year old son as well. Today well yesterday I bought my son a Jackson JS30 Dinky electric for his 17th birthday in July. It is a much better guitar then what he is playing now. I think once he sees this guitar he will take guitar playing to THE NEXT LEVEL lol. He is getting pretty good but all he seems to want to learn is Slayer and Metallica and since I know pretty much every song from every album from Metallica I am showing him different songs. I am also trying to steer him from metal all the time to start learning some other stuff. I am a diverse guitar player I can play everything from hillbilly country to death metal and I have told my son this repeatedly that he needs to learn other stuff. This is also a good msg for the other newb guitar players here, it is fine that you want to learn that amazing metal or punk or grunge riff but you need to add some diversity in your playing. This will also help you along the way to becomming a better guitar player. So learn some other stuff. If you are into Metallica then make yourself learn a song from like the Beatles or Elvis and trust me people will notice!:)

i could really care less about age, i was talking to some other guy from craigslist aobut jamming, and were gonna get together, im just teaching myself about 15 songs he sent me, mostly older, but i'm having a blast doing it. it's funny, i don't own one of those cd's but i know every tune.

that being said, were gonna go jam at his place in toronto, my parents are pretty cool, but i don't know how they'd feel about 50 year old men coming over to my basement to jam

and i don't know how those 50 year old men would feel.
