Now I know there have been alot of epiphone posts, but I couldn't find anything on the guitar I want, so here I go...
I've been wanting a les paul forever now, and am going to get a lp-100 for my birthday in july, and it's killing me to wait for it. I have played it at guitar center, on the amp I want, (line 6 spyder III 75) and absolutely love it, everything feels right in the hands, (I also settled that I don't like the les paul studios, so please don't recommend them, the necks are to big for me) but I have one question to anyone who owns or has had alot of experience with these guitars, do they last long, are they durable? Is there anything you don't like about it that I might not know about it? Any input would be helpful!

I don't have any good info about the LP-100, but I did stay at a Holday Inn Express last night...
Wait, no I didn't.
I got a Epi LP Standard @ Guitar Center for Valentines Day. I am loving it. My first guitar was an Ibanez gax60. It is pretty good too for the 200 I spent on it, but I just love the LP style and needed one of those too.
Happy buying and let us know how you end up liking the Spider III.

well, I'm not really a beginner anymore, I've been playing for about 6 months now, and have been learning quickly, I actually figured out, that with my weekly allowance, I can pay my dad 80 extra dollars so I can get a wine red les paul standard, wich would be awsome, since it is a better guitar, and I would still have 100 dollars left over for an amp, that'll be awsome!

I own it and just sold it. Its not too good at all. Constantly giong out of tune and pickups are weak. You get what you pay for. Other than that the quaility of workmanship is pretty good from price. If you develope decent guiatar skills it will start to anoy you more. I just bought the epi standard plus top and is a world of difference from this guitar. when you can afford upgrade to standard model or better and you will notice the difference. Jason

The Standard uses better quality components and will be well worth it in the long run
