Has anyone seen the new Stratocaster VG series? Apparently it is loaded with effects to simulate Strat, Tele, humbuckers, double helix, 12 string as well as instant tunings like Drop D and open G ...

Just wondering if anyone has seen them?

hey, it looks like a strat, but the extra dials are new. I toyed around with it. my shop lets me take anything home for a day or two as i tend to puchase almost everything that ends up at home. i didn't like it. I like a true pure sound, and this was electronic. i play through some high end tube amps, and this was equivelant to plugging into a boss GT-8 floor unit, yes, great felxibility, but it's gonna suck the tone right out. I'll stick with my old strat thanks very much. (I did like being able to play drop D without turning a peg head, that would be nice onstage, (not that i'll ever be on stage))

I messed around with one at a local shop, they have a great feel, (American Strat) fretwork, finish etc. the 12 string seclection sounded like a real 12 string, its kinda like a high end LIne6, just put into a better guitar. $2000 is a bit out of my price range though for a new toy.

That just looks so cool. I think it would be a cover band dream guitar. Nothing would beat the real thing of course... but if you want to match other groups sounds... how do you beat that?

Thanks for the vid link Nytron.

That is so unreal ... it's like having loads of guitars in just one neat Strat.

Thanks for the links.

Now let'S wait for someone here who will mortage his house to get one :)

all this does is get rid of your floor pedal, it doens't do anything a boss GT-8 dosen't , except it's alot tougher to switch while playing, and it'dd be cheaper to buy a US strat, and a boss gt-8 than this unit with less options

just my opinion.
