Here's my 1st video I made.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2898iVeNaA

Just a quick shot at Stray Cats (as I love the 60s sound and they brought it back very nice in the 80s)

I know it's full of mistakes and stuff but it's really fun to play that song.

Brian Setzer is truly a great player and I know when I try to pull his stuff on guitar ;)

Be gentle please :)

Rock on !

Ray.

Great job for being rusty. I also love the Stray Cats and that rockabilly sound. Setzer is awesome. I've been learning " I Won't Stand In Your Way", another great Cats tune.

Great job, man. Very nice, dynamic playing. 60s style music desrves a 60s style word and that was GROOVY. :D

Very nice raymix, great playing and good job on the tone as well. That can often be the hard part with Setzer.

That was great I found myself singing along;) I hope you can post some more I would like to hear some more for sure.I too am now wanting to learn this song.

A funny story about this song (not trying to high jack this thread) My 16 yo son takes music(I think 3 different classes of guitar) at high school he comes home one day and says one of the kids at school taught him a new song it's called Rock Lobster(remember that gem?). so he plays it for me and I said that's the stray cat strut not rock lobster "Oh no dad it's called Rock Lobster" so I had to down load the song and play it for him . Then he says "Oh I guess you're right". Yes I am son cause I lived it.

Sorry anyway great job keep it up

Blewbyou: Hehe, funny story indeed :)
Yeah, I remember B52's very well, they were kinda "sound" revolution for me back in 1979 , I rushed to buy their vinyl (I still have it) and was playing it non-stop. I think all the songs on that album are just great.

I love their "minimalistic" style , very simple setup with weird sounds and obscure guitar licks (I guess that was the beginning of the new wave/punkish sound).

Hey, thanks for the inputs guys.
Yes I'll post more soon, I just found a great backing track so I can play the entire "Sultan of Swing" riffs/solos from Dire Straits.

It wont be as good and perfect as Knopfler but hey , it's all about fun right ?
