I loved the lesson Hurt and it would be really great if you could teach some more Johnny Cash songs. Maybe one of the older songs like Folsom Prison Blues, Big River or Man in Black.
And thanks for this great site. :)

he used to shove a dollar bill between the strings and the fretboard if I remember correctly.

Folsom Prison only has 3 chords lol. E, A and Bm7 =]]

I would like to see how David would play it though. Especially if he can teach the solo, cause I have to improvise on it when I play.

Would it sound better if I used a Twenty?

I know that David has said that country is not really his cup of tea. It's not mine either, but I really like this song. I think the rhythm is simple, but I'd love to hear how David interprets it; especially the guitar solo. Thanks.

Theres so many songs that I would like to play of Cash's but the parts of the songs that are most appealing are performed by either Luther Perkins or Bob Wooton who were both in Johnny's backing band.

Songs like Wanted Man would be so cool to play. The other advantage to people learning the songs of Johnny Cash is there simple yet diverse which is ideal for beginners etc!!!

Johnny, "What sound? June, "That sound everybody is talking about. Steady like a train, sharp like a razor." Johnny, "Well, we'd play faster if we could!"

That's what I'm talkin' about!

I too am I johnny cash fan and these are all great songs, unfortunately they will all be overlooked as requests. For these songs to be considered for the polls, make each song a separte post putting the artist and the name of the song in the post name. For more information here's a few links.

Also Get Rhythm, Cry Cry Cry, and Man Comes Around would be cool, but Folsom Prison Blues is a must
