Hi folks,

This is my attempt at this track.
As always, as soon as I record my self playing, I'm always making
mistakes in solo parts. So this is one of the best shot I kept.

Funny thing is that I'm able to play this track flawless ;)

Effects are Proco Rat + Noise Gate + Delay.

Rock on !

Nice work raymix! Santana is one of my favorite artists. Funny how things change once you start recording yourself. I have yet to record anything that I'm happy with.

Another fantastic job Raymix!! Way to go!! I'm learning Europa by Santana along with hundreds of other songs. Santana has some sweet sounds and really nice solo work. One of my dream guitars is a PRS.

Wow. I liked it a lot. I'm a big santana fan. Makes me want to play some more of his stuff.

Well, not really that hard you know.

Most of problems would be those fast slides that you must land perfectly. Solos are kinda mellow with slow bends and only 2 main chords, but don't get me wrong ...
notes are easy to pull off BUT to make them sounds soulful and true is totally a different story, that's why Carlos Santana's tone is so rich.
And i'm sooooo far from that hehe ;)

Dave was right about "your tone" and Carlos definitly has one of his own.
No matter how you know the solos/chords, nobody plays the same tones.

That's one of the hardest part of Santana's trax, IMO.

Thanks for the feeds guy, any suggestions are always welcome !

Ray.

Hey RayMix, this is WMARTINSRV again. You emailed me back about
easy Santana songs to practice. I am up early looking at your video.
Just great. Hey. I am going thru the lessons and I am studying the
A minor pentatonic scale. I need to find recorded songs that I can
practice this scale and their riffs against.

You told me that Oye Como Va is in this key. Do you know of any
other songs that I can use? I love Stevie Ray Vaughan, Carlos Santana
and any other blues or blues rock groups.

I would love to speak with you if that is possible. I want to enjoy
playing as much as you do. Thanks again.
