Ok, first things first, I want to say that I am going to Uni this year, hopefully in Aberdeen and want to start a band. If things turn out the way I want them to, this will turn into a full blown thing, and I can do it for a living (Yeah yeah, wishful thinking). Right now, I am not that great at what I do (play guitar), but can hold my own on simpler songs and have already played in front of a crowd of people with my mates band. I am developing very quickly though, playing roughly 5 hours a day, so don't think that I won't be good enough, because I will get better.

I am wanting to start a band with guys (or girls) who are into stuff like Aerosmith, Guns n Roses etc. I reckon rock is on it's arse these days, and I want to bring it back. At the minute, there is only me, and hopefully a bass player, but I don't know how that will work out. So, if anyone is around the Aberdeen area, is around my age (18), and want to do the same sort of stuff as me, then give me a bell.

Cheers.

Cheers man. Good luck to you too. It actually sucks by me trying to find musicians. You would think that because it is the place Bon Scott was born there would be loads of rock musicians, but every musician seems to be into rubbish like the View and the Fray. Oh well.

man too bad i live in central scotland i could have been lead or rhythm guitar.

i agree with you on the music scene in britain right now though, although heavy metal is what i'm best with I would love to start a rock band with 80/90's influences like g'n'r.
I hate all this rock pop bullshit on the radio right now like The view and artic monkeys. strumming a guitar for 3 and a half minutes and singing with a strong british accent is NOT music. I hate that bullshit.

Thankyou! I never get tired of telling my mates that bands these days just aren't real bands. Every time I hear the name "Brian" in some stupid accent I want to break something...

How old are you? Cos if you are old enough to drive or whatever, we could maybe jam sometime or something. Oh, and no offence, but please could you keep your posts clean? Only there are some kids on here (I think anyway), and we want to keep this a family atmosphere. Cheers mate;)
