Does anyone have one of these? I got mine a few months ago - I was looking for a way to plug my guitar into my computer and found it. I only used it for that purpose a few times. Mostly now I use it plugged into an old stereo as my main amp.

Check out the MFG site. (http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/MAudioBlackBox-main.html)

This little device will emulate 40 different amps. It has built in tuner and drum patterns. There are over 100 effects you can add as well. And, it really does plug into my computer via USB. S/PIDF is supported, too. It comes with Ableton Live Lite version 6 (mine came with version 4 and I got free update to 6). I even got the pedal board which contains 2 switches and an expression pedal. I got it all for only $199 at Guitar Center.

I have the original black box, and its, ok. The amps arent exactly very close to their real counterparts. And when recording it seems to come out more distorted than when playing and listening, completely throwing off my love for exactly setting my sounds...other than that it is a handy tool that works well with drivers for the price.

Have you downloaded the new firmware? Go to M-Audio and get the firmware to make your original "reloaded". Also, make sure you update to the latest "live" (version 6). You may want to experiment with the ASIO and MME/DirectX drivers.
