I've just watched a re-run of Close encounters of the 3rd kind, even if you aint watched this film (you might need to) before you will have heard the riff from it somewhere. i thought if your a beginner at playing guitar it would be a good ear training exercise. i gave it a shot and there are a few different ways to play it....but if i told you that would mean that this post was a bit pointless....so crank up the volume and speak to them aliens.

i actually watched that movie for the 1st time on comcast on demand last weekend. i was trying to figure it out, but they weren't playing it in any sort of constant rhythm and after a while i didn't know where it began or ended.
