View Full Version : I need help playing solos in key PLEASE!

hey guys, i have been playing for awhile and i have really wanted to start improvising my solos but i have trouble on playing in the right key of a rhythm so does anybody know where i could learn to do this?? oh and one more thing, could anybody show me where i could find a VIDEO lesson of how to do the ENTIRE sweet child o mine solo thanks guys!

If you know the progression your playing, choose the root chord (first one you play in the progression) as the key. Make sure you go back to the root notes in the scale often as it helps to make it sound complete.
Not sure if that's what your looking for...let me know where you're at in improvising and I'll see what I can do to help.

I recommend tabs for the sweet child o mine solo, the long part, its not to hard to learn, ive only been playing 2 and half months and i can do it

A way to do this is just by going to another place on the neck to solo. Like if I am playing in A on the 5th fret, I will start playing on the other A on the 17th fret. Thats just a simple way and there a millions of ways to make a solo sound in key.
