Ugh. Why make me choose?

Going by sheer number of songs I have from each artist, Yngwie is just beaten by Stevie Ray and Angus. But Joe Satriani beats all three of them.

Of course I'm going to pick Ace Frehley, he is My guitar God, and if I was ever granted one wish before I died, I'd love to either Meet Ace Frehley, or go to a KISS concert with all the original members, but since that has already happened I'd pick the chance to meet Ace Frehley.

BTW I just noticed their is a 3 way tie between Ace Frehley, Jimmy Page and Jimmy Hendrix this is a close one.

Perhaps some people missed the first post, which states that this was simply a test of the site polling system? I could have put Mr Rogers and Big Bird in there to suit the purpose.

Many great guitar players... Steve Vai, Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, Yngwie Malmsteen... What about Buckethead! :confused:

But since he's not on that list, I vote for Steve Vai. If I could, I would have voted for nearly everyone on that list :p and Carlos Santana who was not on it.

Interesting results so far. The G3 are tied and nobody likes Yngwie because he talks funny and wears tight pants. Poor Yngwie.

its so stupid talkin about good guitarists and not mentioning david gilmour ( listen to the comfortably numb, the "delicate sound of thunder" version") guitar is not the matter of speed, music is not that thing AT ALL...listen to bach, purecull or clouds and see what I mean. music is the feeling. the feeling of david gilmours guitar is AMAZING, regardless of the beautifully written music.. Dont ever forget that: the guy who runs so fast is not necesarily a good soccer player. joe satriani is FASSSSSt , hes got techniques but compare Marrond with Forgotten and you'll see what I really mean.... in this list of yours, I dont even have the smallest respect for slash.... Joe sat is my vote on this list...

My favourite guitarist would have to be Chris Cheney from The Living End, he is simply...... awsome, anyone who gets a signature series guitar named after them is pretty good

Hey Whiskey I take it this poll is just for rock/metal guitarists! I would have also included Chet Atkins, Roy Clark. Bruce Springsteen,Mark Knophler, Joe Walsh. :D You also list Steve Vai along WITH Joe Satriani what about Kirk Hammet him and Steve Vai were both students of Mr.Satchmo (Joe Satriani).

Out of those, defintetly Steve Vai. He's insanely skilled and really creative too. He's got the speed and technical skills of a shredder, and, unlike some guitarists *coughYngwieMalmsteencough* he's got some soul too.

Some not in the list: Dave Gilmour, Paul Gilbert, Buckethead, Marty Friedman and Jason Becker.

i think that Slash has the coolest sound. He has an awesome choices of guitars...Gibsons ROCK. And Guns N' Roses is my faverate band even though their not together anymore.:D
