Since I'm not a member of nextlevel I cannot access full version songs. I was wondering the opinions of members who can access of how much more is learned from the full version. I see there are only a few songs available but more promised to come.
Dave does a good job of teaching through song and the free videos got me here. Will there be a free full version to check out??? I asking....do we get it?;)

I take it you can't get any of the video lessons without being a member? If thats the case i'd definitely recommend them. They cover a lot of stuff from the basics to the more advanced stuff which links together very well. You've probably already seen that the learning style is very informal, straightforward and very well explained. The handouts are also useful (i've bought DVDs from stores in the past which refer to booklets which didn't come with it!).
So yeah, sign up for a month as a trial but i pretty much guarantee you won't be disappointed

Well, if you liked the partial lesson of the song, it stands to reason you'll like learning the whoe thing... Nobody likes being the guy at the jam session who knows 101 intros but can't play a whole song.
Yes David does a terrific job on the full versions. And as usual, he tends to throw in a lot of extra useful tips and instruction along the way.
Don't be shy, check it out. The instruction lessons alone are more valuable than you could imagine.

Hey, I resemble that remark! :o ....but 101 intros put together makes a heck of song or solo :D
David and Tim are putting together a one stop learning center at nextlevel. Wish I would have found this site a couple years ago when I started. Like anyone learning to play I've acumalated alot of material and websites to learn from, but from what I'm seeing there's everything for the beginner and beyond. You can tell from David's playing and instructing experience he knows what it take to learn and keep moving to the nextlevel.
My primary interest at this point is learning songs and Dave's videos had me up and jamming with him in no time even though they were partials. I was just curious how complete the full version videos were? Is the whole song taught with rhythm and lead? any tab? songs words? audio to play along with? Enquiring minds want to know;)

I signed up for a month, and will probably get the full year membership if I am satisfied with the website. One thing I was hoping to find was the complete lead guitar solo to sweet child of mine. I know Dave said on the intro video that it would be available at the launching of the site, but I have yet to find it. I hope they get it on the site soon. Other than that I have been pretty happy with the information here.

Don't worry. I'm sure we're going to be hearing a lot of that stuff real soon. The site is running full steam and they are loading more and more content daily.
Right now priority is being given to getting the bugs out of the login system and making sure everyone can access what they paid for. But they're also filming new content too! Not to mention the DVD's!
I'm getting many e-mails from David and Tim each day and believe me, the're stoked about the stuff that's coming up. They've got lots in store for you good people!

Thats was actually a prototype for the beginner level Song Video Lessons. It contains about 9 minutes total of video instruction broken up into individual sections. Right now the songs do not exist in that format. As of launch, that was simply a prototype.
Feel free to give us feedback on it.

....concerning prototype page
I think having a page like this available for each video song lessons would be a good ideal. In addition to what there is now, .... add a full audio/mp3 of the original song or Dave's version to practice along with. This way for some that's never heard or have the song they can start learning and practicing along with the songs audio after they have viewed the songs lesson video.
The prototype page with words of song could remain separate or "become one" with links to the video lesson, examples chords used and audio to play along with. If their some lead work associated with song there could also be a video link and or tab could be presented. I understand the issues concerning tab but possibly "in the vein of Dave" tab licks for leads, fills, or arpeggios could be presented to learn and practice with.
I know Dave and Tim have ton of request for songs and if they could do a 10th of, it would be a miracle. The primary concern is getting songs up now that are beneficial to learning to play guitar and laying the building blocks to the nextlevel of enjoying this great instument and of music, the international language. As the site grows so will the songs library and the nextlevels of learning.
........just food for thought

Thats an excellent point and one I want people to remember. Notice they aren't called song tutorials. They're called song LESSONS. The concept isn't to teach you to play your favourite songs, rather to use song lessons to teach you how to play guitar and develop you ear in the process. This way you will find it easier and easier to teach yourself the songs you like.
The fact that you get to learn some of your favourite songs is an extra bonus, as it gives us motivation since we are having fun, and delivers a sense of making progress.
