Custom Fingerboard

I am not sure if this is actually a "guitar care" question, but its guitar building. Basically I am in the design faze of a fully from scratch guitar. One thing I would really like to do is add custom inlays on my fingerboard. Does anybody know any place I can find information on inserting these inlays? I am not sure what kind of design im going for, but yeah. I know how to put dots, but nothing more exciting. Thanks for any help.

it might be hard to beleive but there is a place online called www.inlay.com where you might find some info, also when you are searching also use the word marquetry in your search, its a fancy form of inlay using different types and colors of wood, and other materials

Not sure how reliable they are but while browsing ebay I came across vinyl inlays that I that are only like $20 but that's as bout as much as I looked into them not much else I can tell ya...
