Sorry if this is in the wrong forum but the other forums says ask David not ask everyone else...

Well here goes, In the lesson "nickelback photograph" that David teachers.

The 1st chord he says is an E Fifth or something but when i go to http://www.all-guitar-chords.com

An e fifth is nothing like what david is doing.

Please help

I am sorry if this is a silly question i am very new

hiya

there's several ways of playing an E5 chord. If you google "E5 chord" you'll find a few sites that will show you all kinds of versions of it.

079900 is an E5 chord. That's all you need know. If you're learning, don't get too hung up on it. Just remember that -

1. because its an E chord, you can hit the open low E string and it will sound ok (as this is sounding the low E note)
2. You're basically playing a power chord shape at the 7th fret. Remember for the future, that if you play that shape at the 7th fret, its E, provided your root is on the A string.
