Anything that has to do with Guitar Hero should be considered a game, and not as a true form of learning to play a Guitar and be moved into the spam forum or be deleted.
Granted, Guitar Hero maybe helpful to inspire people to play or even foster the next Eric Clapton but, I feel this site should be for and kept up to a higher standard.
Reading how someone says how good they are on G-H is like reading how good they are as a soldier because they play BF2.

That's precisely why I started the thread in this Spam forum. I enjoy the game, so I thought I'd see who else likes it. It's not an insult to the "good people" here who want to learn guitar. It's what I'm doing too! I just enjoy Guitar Hero as well.

I would be careful what you say about this game. While technically, its not the same as playing guitar, it can inspire musical creativity and ignite the passion for guitar playing in people who at one time had none.

While I have never played it, i have talked to people who have. If you check out Tims little bio story in the News section of the main page, you'll learn that this game was the inspiration behind his purchase of a real guitar.

If not for this game, Next Level Guitar wouldn't exist.

What made you want learn to play the guitar? Hello all, this is Tim Gilberg Co Founder of "NLG" or Next Level Guitar. Every one has a story of what Inspired them to play the guitar.
We would love to hear yours please post your story or inspiration In our free forum. The following is my story.
Being a fan of all guitar based music from acoustic to electric there was always something magical about the sound and the style of the artists that played the guitar.
I had always thought the guitar was out of reach to me, too much practice too little time, I did not want to play until my fingers bled (AKA Bryan Adams "Summer of 69").

My daughter and I were in the mall and noticed some kids strumming away on small plastic guitars on a Playstation video game console It caught my daughter's eye so we purchased the game called Guitar hero.
It was the most fun I had encountered in years. I was so inspired by playing rock n roll hits on this video game,I decided to take the plunge and give a real guitar a try. So when you want a local music teacher where do you go of course Craigslist I found David Taub and scheduled a real live guitar lesson.
After just a few short lessons I was actually playing the rhythm to one of my all-time favorites Guns n Roses Sweet Child of mine.

A few short months I can play most popular music with the help of Dave's techniques. I have Been involved in several websites and marketing the last several years and approached Dave the we should take his innovative
Guitar teaching techniques and unleash them on the Internet and Here we are today.
