I'm having issues with the videos I'm trying to upload to youtube. When I play them b4 I upload them, the audio and video match. Then when they hit youtube, there all outta wack. I am very much a beginner at this, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hey Musicca...I'll try to help ya....first off how are you compressing your file for youtube?...mpeg1, mpeg2, wmv, mov...? I found the wmv or mov(quicktime) files, may not look the best, but work well on youtube. Someone else posted the same problem...awhile, while back..but i don't think they reposted after some suggestions..i know youtube has a trouble shooting sections for this problem too...but let me know and i'll see if i can help ya

Hmmm, good questions lol. The last time I tryed I think I used an Mpeg4 compression ( if that is one) if not then I it must have been Mpeg3. I will try the wmv format. which audio compression do you suggest. This was also an option to decide the last editor I tryed. Not sure if this new one has that or not. ( remember I said I was new to this heheh ) these may be kinda simple questions, but thanks for the advice. The first (only vid) that Ive posted was done using a Xvid compression, but when I tryed that with a vid that was much longer it turned out terribly out of wack. I am currently using a trial version of ulead video studio 9, if thats of any help in helping me. Thanks again.:D

it could have been mpeg4...there is no 3...but i know ulead studio 9 has mpeg4 compression...i never had much luck with mpeg 1,2 or 4 in regards to uploading to file sites such as youtube. Mpeg4 is heavy compression, then youtube compresses it more. The Mpeg compression format usually does a video stream and an audio stream separately, which will look fine on your machine,or dvd but youtube compresses it again and the 2 streams can go out of sync. wmv and mov compress as a combined stream, I would try an 8 bit mono audio setting first with wmv or mov...if you correct your syncing problem, then try a 16 bit stereo setting...i don't know if studio 9 has the encoders for wmv...but i'm pretty sure it does for mov(quicktime). Let me know if that works..and if you need more help, give a hollar...
