As everyone knows the United States is suffering from a slow economy and if where you live is not let me know cause I'll move there. For us in Michigan our economy is disastrous. The auto makers are laying off, local schools are laying off because they are broke, etc... Here is what I am asking everyone to do, BUY AMERICAN! For instance, GHS, Dean Markley, and a couple of other manufacturers are based in Michigan and although these purchases are small when done in volume can reap a large reward later. All I am asking is too do your part to help us out of a tough time. Also it wouldn't hurt to buy American cars either afterall, it could be a neighbors job you save and help feed their family.
Thanks for reading. Go NAVY!!

No offence intended but i hope America's economy stays the way it is... for us in the Uk you can't half get some bargains (obviously it's a double edged sword-more we buy economy gets better).

Obviously it's not soo good for the countries the US invade to recoup their losses....

Theres a lot of jobs that has been lost here, and everything is going up. I stay home alot and that makes a difference. Also people wonder why the younger generation live with their parents longer, they can't find jobs :( .

I dont mind buying American. I'm from the UK and you can get some real bargains.I wouldn't like to see America's economy falter though as it tends to affect us all in the end. I was in New Orleans last week by the way. Fantastic city but a real tragedy too.

bush's "big business" plan of moving workers and factories out ot the country to make things cheaper with less regulations is the problem. its easier to make things in brazil and ship them here than it is to actually make them here and pay decent wages and health codes and stuff. totally screws the normal people but CEOs get rich.

I decided to delete my post here, I realize that I was also buying into the political part of it. Thank God for the edit button

Man we need to keep politics out of this forum. I mean come on "Bush's Big Business Plan"? So he sat down one day with all of the Fortune 500 CEO's and said..hmm lets get all of the Mfgs to move to mexico..yea thats it. NO, thats not how it works.

Bush or any other Pres has little to do with FREE enterprise. We live in a Free Will Society, that's what makes us great. But sometimes the pursuit of the almighty dollar can hurt us all. James don't hate CEO's cuz they roll in the dough, no one is stopping YOU from making that much money..go get it my Brotha! Don't forget Eric Clapton has more money than MOST Corporate CEO's in the world. Lets keep it real okay.

I am not a huge Bush apologist and I think the War Sucks, but I just hate the B.S. Rhetoric on both sides of the aisle, I wish we, as a country colud just keep it real instead of this constant battle of political power and control. We have forgotten that we are ALL Americans first.

Okay thats the last political rant you will hear from me. I just WANNA ROCK!!

So you were in New Orleans? Well I hope we showed you a good time. If you come back let it be known on the forum. Perhaps we could hook up. Oh and about the Ameican economy...it's doing just fine. lol! I could post facts and figure's but thats for another forum. Peace.

Well I was only there for 5 days. It was work but I still had time for a look around. We stayed at a hotel called Loews - very fancy (to me anyway) and I spent most time at the conference centre down by the river. I only found out on the last day that there was a vintage guitar shop 10 mins from the hotel but I didnt have time to go and have a look. Aaaargh! Anyway, beautiful city and I managed to see a couple of bands too. :D

I've seen political and religious threads virutally destroy otherwise great forums. Even the best intentioned people are extremely passionate about religion and politics, often causing polite discussion to degerate into flame wars and disorderly conduct bans. There are a mulitude of political and religion forums on the net if that's your cup of tea, I just don't feel the MAIN FORUM of NLG is the proper place, since that area of the site is what new blood will see first. My recommendation would be to either completely disallow religious or political threads or (for the mods sake) at least keep then safely locked away in OFF TOPIC....

PCBurner I also must apologize. I seem to be overly sensitive to somethings and can over-react. I am all for buying American, too. Peace man!
