Hey fellow guitar players!

I've been trying on recording a song which is originally played on a piano. I basically want to play the left hand and the right hand seperately and then mix them together so that it sounds nice. This is probably going to be a birthday present for a friend.
Now, what I came across with during recording (I don't know if I have even set up the whole thing right) is that I have some (background)noise which I'd like to get rid of so that it sounds clean(er).
My set up is actually >Guitar -> Amp -> Computer< and I'm using Sonar6 to record. I'm not very familiar with the programme yet, as you may have guessed. ;)

Thanks for your upcoming help. :)

Take care,

Miles

I'm not sure about the software you are using, but Audacity has a pretty good noise removal component to it. It is impressive, but not magical. I can remove the hiss that my computer makes and small constant things like that. It has an adjuster that lets you decide how much it will remove. There is a chance your sound will be altered, but if you do a mild filter it will be pretty clean.

Hope that helps.
