Hello,

I never seen anyone put a capo on their electric guitar, so I run into the assumption that the capo might ruin the electric guitar. I'm hoping someone can give me the real reason why? Thanks.

I put it on mine sometimes. I also have never seen someone do it though.

I use a Kyser capo on mine a couple times a week, its a great easy to use and adj style and I have not had a problem with it.

Nope, capo shouldn't harm your electric guitar in the least! I think you dont' see it as often because electric guitar-playing style doesn't lend itself as much to it. Where an acoustic (this is a generalization, i know) might often lean toward chording where a capo would come in handy... that's not always the case for electric.

you are right as a general rule you just don't see much capo playing on electics, when you do see it, it is mostly in county music, rockers tend to want to play all over the neck.
