Notice P_H is from Tennessee. I loved that area, and spent several years in Georgia while in the Cavalry, but most residents there usually refer to people as being from the "North" or from the "South". But it's strange that, given a West option, an eastern option wasn't also included.

What's even more strange is this-

In the South this is called a "Coke"(yes, even Pepsi's),
in the Midwest this is called a "Pop",
some regions of the US call it a "Soda",
while others refer to it as a "Soda Pop".

Having spent time at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, I noticed everything there is called a "Beer". 'Cause, besides water, that was the only other option.:)

North Carolina here. I speak hillbilly, which is kinda like English. lol. I really need an East US button here to represent the deer hunting, oppossum eating, squirrel shooting, pick up truck driving, got a "honk if ya love Hank" sticker in the back window, side of the United States. Well, I don't eat oppossum, but I do talk funny and and I do drive a pick up truck.:D
