Anybody know of a file converter that is free that will convert the files made from Audacity into something that will be compatible with like Windows Movie Maker? I just recorded some music with my new rp250 with a custom van halen patch I made, and I am trying to make a video for youtube for it. Any ideas????

NEVERMIND!!! I found out Audacity makes peoples lives easier than I thought. You can export it as whatever you need! On audacity directly!

dont know much about Windoze Movie Maker software, but if it can read AIFF or MP3 files you're in luck by simply exporting the project as either of these formats. audacity is audio only. no video.
there's a site (xilisoft.com) that allows free download of trial converters that might fit you needs. youtube only allows .WMV, .AVI, .MOV, and .MPG file formats.
hope it helps.

I just discovered Audacity tonight, and I'm in loooooooove. I got Riffworks for use with my PODxt, and I'm now a (home) recording artist! Now, I just need to figure out how to host the audio files to post them places...

look up mixcraft 3 demo and give it a shot. I loved Audacity... but I love Mixcraft more. The demo doesn't time out, it just stops you from exporting to mp3.. really nice.
I still love Audacity as well.

Audacity has an MP3 (lame mp3 ((thats the name))) encoder plugin, so you can export as MP3.
