I didn't those till a week ago so I thought I'd share.
When buying a new combo or cab or putting in speakers, they will have to be 'broken' in for them to sound the best. Some estimate about 50 hours of playing they will break and 'form' to your style of play.
I'm still trying to break in my new Vox ValveTronix Amp speaker hoping the 'farting' will go away.
If you do know what a speaker fart is, its where you add a lot of bass and its making this sort of 'farting' or 'worping' sound when you play.

You had me at 'fart'... You rule pekker. :) This is a really good tip for people like me who get their new amp home, open the packaging and then finds that the sound suddenly sucks more than the same amp I played at the store. I've also found that sometimes new amps will crackle or pop, but that settles down after they've been worked in a bit.

Great tip. Any car stereo enthusiasts will benefit from this tip as well.

Hmm, that's weird and interesting. It's as if the curcuitry in the amp changes or something, but that must be impossible. I'm curious why this would be? If someone out there has more knowledge of electronics and more common sense than me, I would appreiate some insight . . .

It helps the cones in the speakers to "stretch" for lack of a better analogy. You only notice this with larger speakers, such as those in a guitar amp because they are able to and do handle lower more "rumbly" frequencies. If you were to go running, you would stretch your muscles first. Kinda the same idea.
