Hai everyone I am new to everything around here and also have just joined the nextlevelguitar forums. I am actually going to buy a guitar and have a budget of maybe 200$ or less maybe but not more than that for my first guitar. I want to learn a guiatar and do not know anything about music including sound notes and all. I dont mind even if it is a second hand one. So Please help me out.
So Like what do U guys suggest me of buying and from where?

im in the exact same situation. I fell in rock music about 3 years ago after first hearing metallica's "one" and my ultimate goal is to one day play that. For $200 you should really look into a fender squire (IMO). Great quality sound and PERFECT for beginners. If like me, you find yourself loving Fender's, you can try out a stratocaster once you save up some money.

I would offer two suggestions, first with a very limited budget I owuld look at some of the clearance guitars at Sweetwater.com or zzsounds.com or posiably a clearance model at a local music store, if you are going with a Squire I would suggest playing several of them since the QC at the factory is semi-nonexisante to find one that is of a higher standard, the other option would be to find a used guitar that someone is selling or that was a trade in, you mighe be able to find a MIM strat or something like that in your price range and then you would end up with a much better guitar.

You might consider a second tier line of guitars like the "Austin", or "Ibanez" brand, etc. Good starters that have better quality control than Squire or Epiphone. They have to....they can't rely on just the brand name.
If you are set on a Fender or Epi for the brand; you should enlist the help of a friend that knows a good guitar. Especially if buying Squire or used on ebay or craig's list.
I was able to score an American limited Fender Telecaster ($1250.00 unit) for $350.00 on ebay. I was willing to take the risk of a loose neck, etc. because I know guitars and luthiers that can help me fix these types of issues. Turned out to be a great unit that I love to play.
Your purchase will be a "see if you like guitar music purchase". If you do you'll have a desire to move up soon. Good luck and practice (I understand that makes a difference).

I completly agree with what EZ and BILLT are saying about Squires QC issues. There are a few bad ones out there and that's a shame because that market is aimed at folks just like yourself.ie beginners that aren't going to catch a flaw that could be a problem down the road as your skills increase.
With that said I do own a Squire Mini Strat that I paid $150.00 for and we absolutly love it(my 8 year old son and I).We sat down at the music store one afternoon and played every one that they had on display,I think It was 9,till we found the right one...and I do remember there were a few pretty bad ones in that batch of guitars.
I can't speak for epiphone but I know that there are some good Squires out there.Good luck and please let us know what you come up with.

Minimays are 200 dollars, its a small scale guitar (17") but its a much higher quality guitar than most other guitars in that price range.

Hetfield's rythym part is easy and some of Hammett's isn't too difficult.
