DVD Songs -- Supporting Documents

Hello Tim / Dave,

Do you know if you will make available any supporting documents (i.e. tabs or at least an outline of each song with how many measure/chords for the intro, verse, chorus, outro, etc) ?

David has placed on screen text which is a great help in learning the song

Chord fingererings strum patterns and more

The rights we acquired for these songs are not for any printed materials such as tabs etc so there will be no handouts but the DVD is very comprehensive

will these lessons be on the website or do we have to buy the dvd's. If it is on the website do we have to pay for thsese lessons seperately from our premium membership

Hi - the song lessons part of the dvds cannot be on the website as the rights only allow for DVD release. However, we are offering these DVDs to our site members at reduced price points.

Let me get this straight, just so I completely understand. (I've been off site for months): The OLD website that included over 115 videos that actually taught you songs and theory are NO longer available? However, if you purchase DVD's, you have access to the library? OK, so when you guys add songs (videos) I have to buy more DVD's? How many lessons are on each DVD? Thanks for explaining this like I am a 3 year old!! ;)

One more thing: The DVD sets (1-4 and 5-8) sold on your web page include video lessons. Are these the same lessons you can access from your website? So, if I am accurate, you have only 3 video's showcasing actual songs on a special DVD, the other DVD's are simply the instruction from the webpage on a DVD?

Please help me, I am confused...

The Video song lessons where NEVER part of membership here, as a convenience we embedded the videos on the site they were FREE to the whole world and were never charged for.


Due to record labels complaints our youtube account was suspended from claims of copy infringement. Alas the youtube videos that were embedded here we deleted taken down by youtube

Site Membership has all 200 plus lessons it always had with more being added weekly.

I then contacted a licensing company and purchased rights to produce guitar lessons on DVD teaching popular songs.

They are ONLY avaliable on DVD not the website. They have been filmed with high quality cameras and are approx 2 hours long each the youtube lessons were 10 minutes

Thanks for the reply. What is the plan for releasing new DVD instruction based on popular songs? In other words, when do you expect to build up the library again? Are you releasing a few songs at a time as you get a license to do so? Thanks again. This is the best site for guitar instruction!! Even fired my instructor last year!!

each month with another title or 2, it takes 2-3 weeks from start to finish a new Video Song DVD.

So if all goes well 2 new DVDs per month unless
David gets a triple a capaccino and goes ballistic we might get 3 done in a month

Is it possible to make the dvd pack with only acoustic songs on one and electric on one? I have bought the songlessons from you but i hope you do split acoustic/electric songs in the future.

So can you tell me when the region free version of the DVDs will be available?
Or with Region Code 2 (Europe)?

Hi Ron - we now have the first four song lesson DVDs region free - santeria, hey joe, more than words, and have u ever seen the rain - all region free.

so if i buy the special offer for premium members (3 for the price of 1) now i will get region free dvds? Because when i follow the link to the offer there is still a note that says that the dvds are NOT region free.

Wait, so Tim said that the free video lessons that were once on youtube are now accessible to premium members? I can't find a link to these song lessons. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

No the free lessons that were once on the site and on u-tube are gone for good, they are not accessable to paid mebers, free members, they are no longer on the 1-4 and 5-8 teacing DVD's they are gone period
