ya, it was kind of hard to get the mic to pick up the guitar and vocals equally, I had the mic turned up as far as I could without getting feedback. hopefully I will be able to work some of the bugs out of it

Awesome song! Nice job!
If you are getting feedback, it could be coming from your PC speakers, assuming you are recording audio to the pc. Turn them off if possible or all the way down & you should be able to crank up the mic.
Most vid cameras have a mic input also. It should be the same input type as your PC.

thanks for the tip on the pc speakers, since they were on, the camera does have a mic built in, but I didn't htink that it was picking up that well so I bought the desktop mic. I'll try it again with the speakers off and see what I get.

cool, really mellow. Not what I would normally listen to, but I really liked that.

What would be the best way to set up so I could video myself.

I wish I knew, I just bought a little MS internet camera ($29) and a computer mic ($10) . (the camera does come with a built in mic so you really don't need to buy one) I do have Cakewalk and some other stuff for multi track recording and stuff like that. I listen to and attempt to play all sorts of stuff, I might try something a bit more rockin in the future, just messin with it right now

Guess I will have to do some google searches. Would like to video myself to monitor my progress to the next level...........

then one of the little internet cameras is all you need, the MircoSoft one came with its own editing software so you can video yourself and then play it back on your computer

I just started playing agian a couple years ago, I use to play and sing when I was young. It took a bit to get my timeing back (wish I could get my voice back) but you can do it, just practice and after a while it comes back.
