Hi guys. I'm probably gonna embarrass myself again posting this video, but you'll never improve if you don't receive criticism. I know my voice is not great, but do you think I could improve on it, or is my voice not meant to be a singing voice? Please judge, rate, and hate. :D

I just think it is cool to sing and play guitar good job it is a great release
I have been taking vocal lessons for over a year and it is just like guitar
practice scales 10 minutes a day you will see improvement
Just singing wont help you get better, it is like any sport or instrument
gotta practice the fundamentals
i still struggle with the timing but if it was easy everybody would do it

I agree with Tim, you definately arent great (my words not Tims) but you arent hopeless. I used to think that it was black and white, you can sing or you cant. Thats not an opinion that stuck with me very long since I thought I was on the "cant sing" end. Well, after about a year of vocal coaching I realized that I actually got better; and hell, if I can do it, anyone can.
Practice doesnt always make perfect, but it definately takes you one step closer to it.

Thanks for the feedbacks and tips guys. I know absolutely nothing about singing or what pitch and tones mean. I'm not that serious about singing, so maybe a singing coach is not really worth it. I'm more concerned with guitar playing, it's just that I get the urge to sing once in a while when I'm playing guitar and I just want to develop a decent enough singing voice where it's not painful to hear. lol.

the guitar helps me a lot to stay in tune while singing, just tray to follow the music.

If you want to get better at singing, just search for scales online and practice. Some of the things we do in my select chorus class (the better singers of the school) are warm up with the the diatonic and chromatic scales before we actually start singing the music pieces. Find what you're range is. You can either be a Bass 2(lowest), Bass 1, Tenor 2, Tenor 1(highest). Also, learn "solfege". If you don't know what that is, it is where each of 8 notes note is a specific syllable: (Do–Re–Mi–Fa–So–La–Ti–Do).
Even though you may not be serious about singing, it's always good to know how to and practice. You can be a great guitar player and be a mediocre singer or be a great singer but a mediocre guitar player. Just look at Hendrix.
