I recently read an interview with Slash somewhere, and it mentioned Velvet Revolver doing the follow up to Libertad. He said that as they were touring they aren't working on it as a group, but that he has "my little recording apparatus on my guitar in my room, and that's what I do during the days off on the tour. That's where I start putting ideas down."

Does anyone know what apparatus he could be talking about, and where I could get one? It sounds really handy.

thats hard to say, he might have meant a laptop with some recording software. Or he may be talking about something like this http://www.samsontech.com/products/productpage.cfm?prodID=1901 or something like this http://www.jr.com/JRProductPage.process?Product_Id=4173585&JRSource=googlebase.datafeed.BSS+BR600 When you are talking about someone with a bank account like his, there is no telling what product he is using if its not memtioned, To spend a couple grand on a high end laptop with highend recording software could be totally possiable, but there are several compaines making personal portable 4 and 8 tracks nowadays, some use cd's some use tape, and some are digital, just depends on how much you want to spend.
